Mr. and Mrs. B. G. Brown, of Hannibal, celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary with a reception hosted by their children at the home of their son, Kent, and daughter-in-law, Kathy, on June 6, 2020.

Shirley Joann Glascock and Beverly G. Brown were united in marriage on June 18, 1950, at the Fifth Street Baptist Church in Hannibal. Dr. A. E. Prince officiated. Matron of honor was Vernace Ihrig, sister of the bride. Best man was Bill Herring, cousin of the groom.

Mrs. Brown is the daughter of the late Edna Glascock Covey and the late Phillip Glascock. Mr Brown is the son of the late Archie and Lucille Brown. 

They are the parents of three children, Conaleen Essig (Joe), Kathy Rickert (Bob) and Kent Brown (Kathy). Also, they are the grandparents of 11 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Even though not everyone could attend they were missed and it was a great day.

Mr and Mrs Brown are retired farmers and are active members of the Oakwood Christian Church.
