Hannibal Middle School faculty select 3 students on the month, 3 characters of the month for September

HANNIBAL — Hannibal Middle School faculty members selected three overall students of the month, along with three students who were chosen for displaying a specific characteristic. They are awarded with the "character" of the month.

The three overall students of the month were Kegan Greening, Emma Glover and Lorin Kurfman. Sydney Coniglio, Macy Behrens and Aneyas Williams were chosen for the character of the month, because they display good work ethic and responsibility.

Sixth grade:

Sydney Emalyn Coniglio is the daughter of Jim and Emily Coniglio. Her nickname is Syd. She competes in Tae kwon do at Legacy Martial Arts. Sydney enjoys crafting, baking, riding her bike, watching movies and reading.

Kegan Greening is the daughter of Derek and Shana Greening. She competes in soccer with Quincy United, volleyball with the Hometown Hitters and soccer with the Hannibal Hotshots. Kegan enjoys reading, playing tennis, and spending time with friends and family.

Seventh grade

Macy Noelle Behrens is the daughter of Paul and Christie Behrens. She is a member of the Student Lighthouse Team. Macy competes in cross country and soccer. She is a straight A student. Macy enjoys playing soccer, running, painting and hanging out with friends.

Emma Renee Glover is the daughter of Eddie and Jane Glover. She competes in summer softball. Emma enjoys reading, drawing and watching superhero movies.

Eighth grade

Lorin Marie Lynlie Kurfman is the daughter of Alisa and Jerome Patrick. She is a member of the Movie Club and Building Club. Lorin is a member of the Honor Roll and a recipient of the Arrghh award. She enjoys swimming and shopping.

Aneyas Lee Williams is the son of Sarah Jo Williams and James Branch. He is a member of FCA. Aneyas competes in football, basketball and baseball. He enjoys just playing sports of all kinds and spending time with his family and friends.
