Super spellers recognized at HMS

HANNIBAL | Hannibal Middle School faculty members selected 36 students in sixth, seventh and eighth grades to test their spelling skills on Feb. 12.

Students in each English and language arts classes took an individual spelling test to determine who would compete in the bee. Isaiah Hughes son of Mark and Shaylene Hughes, won first place in Hannibal Accelerated Middle School Spelling Bee. He is a seventh-grade student. Second place went to Connor Lynam. Connor is an eighth-grade student and the son of James and Laura Lynam and Mandy Hall.
