Pirates finish second in Troy Tournament

TROY, Mo. – The Hannibal volleyball team finished in second place in the Troy Tournament Saturday.

Hannibal was defeated by Liberty 25-16, 25-21 in the title match.

Bella Falconer led the Pirates with 10 kills in the championship match, while Abby Baumann and Peyton Utterback had six kills apiece.

Kaylee Falconer dished out 15 assists along with two aces.

Hannibal reached the title match by finishing second in pool play. Hannibal defeated Troy 30-28, 25-12 and defeated Montgomery County 25-15, 25-19. Hannibal split the two sets with Sullivan 25-27, 25-20.

Liberty beat Hannibal 25-20, 25-23 in pool play.
