Pirates win bronze pool at QHS

QUINCY, Ill – The Hannibal volleyball team won its final three matches of the QHS Tournament Saturday to win the bronze pool.

Hannibal won the bronze pool title with a 25-22, 25-20 victory over Jacksonville. Bella Falconer had seven kills and nine assists in the victory. The Pirates won the first match of the bronze pool over Chatham Glenwood 25-15, 23-25, 15-13. Bella Falconer had seven kills, while Kaylee Falconer had 19 assists. Allie Hull also had 14 digs.

Hannibal went 1-2 in pool play.

The lone victory came in a 25-15, 25-14 decision over Springfield Southeast. Bella Falconer had four kills and seven digs. Abby Baumann added seven kills, while Emma Deien had two kills.

Fort Zumwalt West beat Hannibal 25-21, 19-25, 15-11 in the first match of the day, and Quincy High School also beat Hannibal 25-23, 25-15.
