Panthers finish fifth at state

NIXA, Mo. – The Palmyra girls golf team capped off a historic season by finishing fifth in the Class 1 state tournament Tuesday at Freemont Hills Golf Course.

Palmyra finished with a two-day team score of 866. Springfield Catholic won the title with a 628.

Samantha Hirner was the low golfer for the Panthers, as she finished tied for 24th with a two-day score of 194. Reigan Parsons was tied for 51st after a two-day score of 220.

Olivia Sublette was tied for 55th with a two-day total of 222.
