Hannibal boys, Kirksville girls take first at Mark Twain and Becky Thatcher Relays

HANNIBAL — America’s hometown hosted its annual Mark Twain and Becky Thatcher Relays, with Hannibal boys and Kirksville girls taking home first place.
Hannibal’s boys team scored 126 points, beating out second-place Jacksonville at 105 points.
Rounding out the boys teams was Kirksville in third at 89, Mexico in fourth at 77, MICDS in fifth at 67, Warrenton in sixth at 57, Ft. Zumwalt South in seventh at 39, Fulton in eighth at 24 and Quincy High in ninth at 5.
Kirksville girls took home first after scoring 170.5 team points, far ahead of second-place MICDS at 102 points.
Rounding out the girls teams was Hannibal in fifth at 95.5, Ft. Zumwalt South in fourth at 79, Warrenton in fifth at 39, Fulton in sixth at 27, Mexico in seventh at 19 and Quincy High in eighth at 2.
Hannibal junior Kade Hoskins won the boys 100-meter dash at a time of 11.02, edging Mexico senior Charlie Fisher in second and Jacksonville sophomore Jason Brown in third.
Fisher won the boys 200-meter dash at a time of 22.56, with Hannibal senior Dallas Baker in second and Hoskins in third.
Mexico freshman Caden Fridley took first in the boys 400-meter dash at a time of 51.93, while Hannibal senior Jonas Thompson took second and Jacksonville sophomore Wyatt Moore took third.
MICDS junior Heru Bey took first in the boys 800-meter run with a time of 2:01.48, with Kirksville senior Forrest Cason in second and FZS junior Parker Ochs in third.
Bey also won the boys 1,600-meter run with a time of 4:32.34, with Jacksonville senior Tyler Butler in second and FZS junior Caleb Allen in third.
Hannibal junior Rhett Hayes finished first in the boys 3,200-meter run with a time fo 10:15.72, while Mexico freshman Seth Stevenson finished second and FZS junior Caleb Allen finished third.
Kirksville junior Blane Byers won the boys 110-meter hurdles at a time of 15.05, while Jacksonville sophomore Jeremiah Jackson took second and MICDS senior Sebastian Harris took third.
Byers also won the boys 300-meter hurdles with a time of 40.57, while Harris took second and Jacksonville senior Troy Defrates took third.
In the boys relay races, Hannibal won the 100 and 200, Kirksville won the 400 and Jacksonville won the 800.
Hannibal senior Tre Hoskins won the boys shot put with a top throw of 17.81, while Warrenton junior Marcus Greene was second and Hannibal senior Nicklaus Thomas was third.
Hannibal senior Aden Scott took first in the boys discus with a top throw of 49.04, while MICDS senior Miles Coleman took second and Warrenton junior Markel Greene took third.
Mexico senior Tyler Stone finished first in boys javelin with a top throw of 46.75, while Kirksville sophomore Kaison Russell finished second and Hannibal junior Kellen Howard finished third.
Jacksonville sophomore Darren Henry won the boys high jump with a top mark of 1.95, while MICDS senior Muhammed Murphy was second and Warrenton freshman Mason Sanders was third.
Henry also won the boys long jump with a top jump of 6.80, while Mexico junior Jiles Williams was second and Hannibal senior Landyn Essig was third.
Kirksville junior Beckett Lyons won the boys pole vault with a top mark of 4.40, while Fulton senior William Wagner-Yates was second and Hannibal senior Jonathan Youngwirth was third.
Warrenton junior Jordan Lopez won the boys triple jump with a top mark of 13.52, while Henry was second and Fulton junior Ryan Roselius was third.
MICDS junior Justyce Sanders won the girls 100-meter dash at a time fo 12.40, while FZS junior Trinity Edmonds took second and Kirksville junior Megan Kinney took third.
Sanders also won the girls 200-meter dash at a time of 25.03, while Kinney was second and Kirksville junior Lajoie Kahindo was third.
MICDS sophomore Blaike Borders took first in the girls 400-meter dash with a time of 57.49, while MICDS senior Morgan Macam took second and Hannibal junior Detra Haywood took third.
Kirksville senior Concillia Kunseviko won the girls 800-meter run with a time of 2:26.32, while Hannibal sophomore Lyla Dorsey was second and MICDS senior Narya Phatak was third.
Dorsey took first in the girls 1,600-meter run with a time of 5:42.75, with Kirksville freshman Jamisyn Springer in second and Kirksville senior Claire Brewer in third.
MICDS junior Frances Applegate finished first in the girls 3,200-meter run at a time of 11:52.36, while Mexico senior Maggie Ramsey finished second and FZS junior Isabella Schomburg finished third.
Hannibal sophomore Kaliyah Chinn won the girls 100-meter hurdles with a time fo 16.11, while Kirksville freshman Greenlee Richman was second and Kirksville junior Christine Kiese was third.
In the girls relay races, FZS won the 100 and 200, MICDS won the 400 and Kirksville won the 800.
Kirksville senior Aline Guilavogui took first in the girls shot put with a top throw of 11.39, while Warrenton senior Makayla Witthaus took second and Hannibal junior Melody Clark took third.
Witthaus won the girls discus with a top throw of 30.70, while Guliavogui took second and Warrenton sophomore Julianne Kinney took third.
Kirksville senior Brooklyenn Rader-Johnson won the girls javelin with a top throw of 32.34, while Kirksville senior Paislee Clark took second and Hannibal senior Addison Friday took third.
MICDS junior Gertrude Habel took first in the girls high jump with a top mark of 1.50, while FZS senior Leah Rau took second and Fulton freshman Amelia Snyder took third.
MICDS sophomore Abigail Selner finished first in the girls pole vault with a top mark of 3.21, while Mexico senior Alexandra Terry finished second and Fulton sophomore Bella Wagner-Yates finished third.
Kirksville senior Mya Harris won the girls long jump with a top jump of 4.62, while Kirksville senior Payton Herbst was second and Chinn was third.
Rau won the girls triple jump with a top jump of 10.63, while Herbst was second and Kirksville freshman Eliel Mungyeko-Tazi was third.
