Ms. Betty Ruth Parker, age 95, a resident of Auburndale, FL passed away Monday, May 11, 2026, in Winter Haven, FL. Ms. Parker was born January 21, 1931, in Huntington, Missouri to Ray Martin Shulse and Jessie Katherine Hamilton. She graduated from Rensselaer High School Class of 1947. Betty worked in the Accounting Department at Wendt-Sonis Carbide Tool Company for 13 years and was a Secretary/Bookkeeper for L.W. Riney Ready Mix & Construction Company for 19 years.
She married Marion J. Parker in the family home on June 29, 1952, in Huntington, MO. She was an Auburndale, FL resident since 2015. She was a member of the Tabernacle of Praise Church and the Grand View Bells in Hannibal, MO. She enjoyed flower arranging, reading, gardening, growing flowers, and horseback riding, but most of all loved to read and study Bible Prophecy. Betty accepted Jesus as her personal savior and was Baptized at Solid Rock Baptist Church in Rensselaer, MO.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 58 years, Marion J. Parker (November 29, 2010) and 2 sisters, Reva Morgan & Patricia Snodgrass. Betty is survived by her sister, Katherine Martine Byers, nieces, Cheryl Sigler and Tracey Morgan, nephews, Jeff and Lonnie Byers.
Graveside services will be held at 11am Tuesday, May 19th at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal, MO.
