Hannibal High School announces art award winners

Hannibal, MO – Hannibal High School Art Instructors Christina Strode, Lisa Wiese and James Zimmerman would like to announce the top awards from the Hannibal High School portion of the annual Young Masters exhibit. The award winners were chosen by outside judges.
Winners of the top three 2026 HHS Awards are: Best of Show – “Dahlia” Acrylic by Addilyn Hedges, Best 2D – “Poise” Oil by Arabella Campbell; Best 3D – “Forever” Metal Sculpture by Madison Leake.
Second Place winners include “Sunrose” Digital Painting by Araina Caldwell, “Apples to Apples Dust to Dust” Watercolor & Ink by Paige Chance; “Protection” Lino Print by Kristina Ordanza, and “Discovering Beauty” Watercolor & Ink by Andie Rosenkrans.
Those receiving an Honorable Mention are – “Battered” Acrylic by Emma Bowen, “Kiwi and Sky” Watercolor & Ink by Scarlett Sternke, “Vanity” Charcoal by Matilynn Harvey, “The Will to Waddle” Scratch Art by Dagny Miller, “Glizzy Bandit” Ceramic by Ian Pruit, and “Stonehaven” Ink by Macy Walker.
The Young Masters exhibit was sponsored by the Riedel Foundation, Marion County Endowment Fund, Community Foundation of West Central Illinois & Northeast Missouri, Hannibal Arts Council, and the Missouri Arts Council.
