Jeramie Glenn Charlton, 33, of Hannibal, MO passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2026.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Monday, May 18, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow on Tuesday, May 19, at 11:00 a.m. at Smith Funeral Home & Chapel, located at 2619 St. Mary’s Ave. in Hannibal, MO. Pastor Michael Miller will officiate. Burial will follow in the Grand View Burial Park.

Jeramie was born on February 1, 1993, in Hannibal, MO the son of Michael E. Charlton and Susan R. Gibbons.

Jeramie’s legacy lives on through his beloved daughters, Adisynn (Jacan) and Aynslee Dryden and their mother, Emily Dryden, all of Hannibal. A grandchild is joyously awaited, bringing new hope and love to the family. His mother, Susan Gibbons of Vandalia; father, Michael Charlton (Kay) of Hannibal; grandmother, Shirley Fountain of Hannibal; and his sisters Jaymee Fogle of Hannibal, Trisch Voepel (Andy) of Palmyra, and Kara Wilson of Vandalia, as well as his stepsister, Crystal Shepherd (John) of Center and stepbrothers Josh and Jason Bates of Hannibal.

Jeramie also leaves behind a large circle of nieces and nephews-including Coady, Jaylee (Parker) and their son Brooks Adam, Sheltyn, Shaelyn, Jaetyn, Treatyn, Kyler (Alyssa), Kohynn, Kaedyn, Karsyn, and Kaisley-along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many dear friends who will sorely miss his presence.

Jeramie is reunited in peace with his grandparents, Nonnie and Becka, and his brother in law, Adam Fogle, who preceded him in death.

It is with deep sorrow and profound love that we announce the passing of Jeramie Glenn Charlton. Jeramie was a man whose heart was rooted in family, and whose greatest joy came from the time he spent surrounded by those he loved most. His primary passion in life was his family-especially his precious daughters, as well as his cherished nieces and nephews. Whether sharing laughter, offering guidance, or simply being present, Jeramie’s devotion to his family defined who he was.

Jeramie was a person of creativity and individuality. He embraced diverse and unique hobbies that reflected his vibrant spirit. He had a deep appreciation for art, particularly tattoo-style designs, where he could express himself in bold and meaningful ways. Being outdoors brought him peace, and he found happiness in simple pleasures-spending time in nature, playing with animals and pets, and enjoying the world around him.

Music held a special place in Jeramie’s life. It was more than just something he listened to-it was his outlet, his connection to the world, and a powerful way for him to express his emotions. Through music, Jeramie shared his outlook on life and found comfort in every note and lyric. No matter the genre or style, he embraced it all, appreciating the beauty and expression that each brought into his life.

Jeramie will be remembered for his warm spirit, his creative soul, and the deep love he held for his family. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, and in the moments of joy, music, and togetherness that he cherished so dearly.

He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

Pallbearers will be Kyler Niemeyer, Jaetyn Tate, Kohynn Niemeyer, Jordan Stovall, Traetyn Tate, Coady Gilbert, Dylan Tate and Wesley Engle.

Honorary pallbearers will be Adisynn Dryden, Aynslee Dryden, Shaelyn Shepherd, Jaylee Gilbert, Sheltyn Waters, Emily Dryden, Kelsey Zumwalt.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel, to assist the family with funeral expenses.
