Young Masters Select Award Winners announced

Hannibal, MO – Twenty students were presented Young Master Select Awards at the close of the Young Masters student art exhibit, held annually at the Hannibal Arts Council.
Young Masters features selected works by students from Hannibal’s fifth- and eighth-grade public and parochial schools and Hannibal High School Art Department. Awards were presented at two separate awards receptions.
Chosen for Hannibal Arts Councils Young Masters Select Awards from fifth-grade entries were: Caroline Viorel (Holy Family, instructor Shelly Lowe); Berkley Barragan (Mark Twain Elementary, instructor Amber Bartz); Jackson Leonard (Oakwood Elementary, instructor Amber Penrose); Bradley Graham (Stowell Elementary, instructor Stephen Schisler); Ellie Schmidt (Veterans Elementary, instructor Tara Lewton); Marie Schell (St. John’s Lutheran, instructors Elizabeth Miles/Alison Ross).
Chosen for Hannibal Art Council’s Young Masters Select Awards from eighth-grade entries were: Reagan McWilliams and Stewart Montague (Holy Family, instructor Shelly Lowe); Micah Alvear (St. John’s Lutheran, instructors Elizabeth Miles/Alison Ross); Thad Lotz (HMS, instructor Hannah Schildnecht); Laurona Davis (HMS, instructor Jennifer Kitzmiller); Mary Rodgers (HMS, instructor Michelle Dent).
Hannibal Arts Council’s Young Masters Select Awards from Hannibal High School were Alexa Bigsby, Ella Bonvillian, Emma Bowen, Arabella Campbell, Paige Chance, Addilyn Hedges, Jaelyn Messina and Brylee Standley (HHS, instructors Christina Strode, Lisa Weise and James Zimmerman).
Additional awards for high school students were presented by HHS art instructors. Those winners will be announced separately.
