North Shelby takes third place with win over Dadeville

OZARK, Mo. — Although North Shelby fell short of its ultimate goal, the Raiders were able to win their final game of the season.
North Shelby came out strong early and defeated Dadeville 12-3 in the Class 1 state third-place game on Tuesday afternoon.
The Raiders scored three runs in the second inning to take a 3-1 lead and plated five more runs in the third to take a commanding 8-2 lead.
Raiders center fielder Bo Bacon led the way, going 3-for-5 with a double, triple, six RBIs, three runs and a stolen base.
North Shelby shortstop Isaac Berry went 2-for-5 with a walk and two runs, while shortstop Cole Browning went 2-for-4 with a walk, two RBIs and two stolen bases.
Raiders second baseman Kale Pollard went 3-for-5 with a run, while left fielder Lane Pollard went 2-for-4 with two walks, two runs and an RBI.
Ty Bacon got the start on the mound for North Shelby, earning the win after pitching 4.1 innings with six strikeouts, while allowing three hits, four walks and three earned runs. Berry pitched 2.2 scoreless innings in relief.
North Shelby finishes the 2026 season with a 18-4 record.
