Pirates record shutout in home finale

HANNIBAL — The Hannibal boys soccer team shut out Chillicothe 3-0 in the home finale Monday night at Veterans Field.

Hannibal's first goal came just seven minutes into the match when Tristen Terrill scored for a 1-0 lead. The lead was doubled with three minutes before the second half when Caleb Young slotted home a goal on an assist from Terrill.

That lead remained until Trevauhn Jenkins scored in the final minute, sealing the victory.

Hannibal (14-4) took 14 shots and eight were on net. Goalkeeper Parker Terrill made three saves.
