Marion County has 15 COVID-19 cases

HANNIBAL | The Marion County Health Department announced on June 27 Marion County has two additional positive case of novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

They are a female, age range 30 - 40, quarantined at home; and a male, age range 70 -80, a nursing home resident, isolated at nursing facility. Marion County has 15 total cases 15, with nine active and six recovered.

The health department staff is working in coordination with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) to determine any close contacts of that individual who were possibly exposed. If there were any, health officials will provide guidance to these individuals and monitor them closely for the development of symptoms.

The Marion County Health Department urges the public to take appropriate precautions including good hygiene, social distancing and limiting in-person interactions. If you are sick, particularly with a fever and a cough, or shortness of breath, stay home and contact your health care provider or urgent care center for guidance regarding symptoms and next steps.
