Clark County Sheriff’s Department arrests

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office reports the following arrests:

Kevin J. Malkmus, 41, of Kahoka, was arrested on July 27, 2026, at 5:02 p.m. by the Kahoka Police Department for driving while suspended/revoked/denied and operating a vehicle without maintaining financial responsibility. Malkmus was released on summons to appear at a later court date.

Verle D. Gutting, 65, of Wayland, was arrested on July 28, 2026, at 11:34 a.m. by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office for operating a vehicle on a highway without a valid license — first offense. Gutting was released on summons to appear at a later court date. He was arrested again at 12:37 p.m. by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office for operating a vehicle on a highway without a valid license — second offense. Verle was released on summons to appear at a later court date.

Damian A. L. Hooper, 22, of Alexandria, was arrested on July 29, 2026, at 6:01 p.m. by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office on a failure-to-appear warrant for exceeding the posted speed limit by 20-25 mph. Hooper posted a $360 cash bond and was given a later court date to appear.

Amanda S. Jones, 41, of Kahoka, was arrested on July 30, 2026, at 11:40 a.m. by the Kahoka Police Department on a warrant for burglary — second degree. Jones is being held on a $35,000 cash-only bond.

Tony J. Maletta, 39, of Kahoka, was arrested on July 30, 2026, at 1:40 p.m. by the Kahoka Police Department on a warrant for burglary — second degree and possession of a controlled substance. Maletta is being held on a $35,000 cash-only bond.

Justin T. J. Weddle, 25, of Kahoka, was arrested on Aug. 1, 2026, at 10:03 p.m. by the Missouri State Highway Patrol for operating a vehicle on a highway without a valid license — first offense. Weddle was released on summons to appear at a later court date.
