HANNIBAL — The Hannibal Arts Council has been awarded a matching grant through a partnership between HNB National Bank and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines, it was announced.

The funding comes through the Federal Home Loan Bank’s Member Impact Fund, a program that invited member banks to participate in matching grants benefiting nonprofit organizations throughout Missouri. HNB National Bank said the grant will support the Hannibal Arts Council’s mission of promoting community engagement in the arts.

HNB National Bank is also the major sponsor of the Hannibal Arts Council’s annual Folklife Festival, a longstanding local event celebrating regional arts and culture.

Bank officials said the grant reflects a shared commitment between HNB National Bank and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines to support the arts council’s mission for the benefit of the region and its residents.

The grant amount was not disclosed in materials provided by HNB National Bank.
